    First serious birding camera advice (budget €2000 - 3000)

    Thank you all for your recommendations! It looks like mirrorless with a crop sensor is the way to go. Using a teleconverter instead of a larger lens is certainly an interesting option I hadn't considered before. For now the fujifilm XT3 with the 70-300mm lens and 1.4x teleconverter looks promising.
