Thanks for the warm welcome Delia, much appreciated. Thanks also for the info, we've put covers over the relevant parts of the windows and all is silence so far.
We have a problem with a Blackbird who spends minutes pecking at the glass of our windows. It seems very determined to get in and must have a very sore beak judging from the mess on the window. Does anyone know why a bird might choose to do this and how they can be safely discouraged?
