    Digiscoping with Fuji X-T1

APO TLS versus Afocal Great shots with good detail. Do you prefer the APO against using a lens. I have recently tried the XT-1 with a 27mm f 2.8 lens & the results have been quite good up to 15-20M distance. (The combined f No is 8.4 when using the 25X magnification.) I prefer this lens because...

    What camera to get??

The Nikon 1V1 with a 18.5 f1.8 lens is great I use the Nikon 1V1 which can be purchased now for under £200 with the 10-30 zoom lens. For the zoom eyepiece the 18.5 lens is a good combination. If you don't want to spend a fortune on adapters & camera support why not use the outer part of eye cup...

    Digiscoping Adapters for Afocal Photography

I have been digiscoping for the past 10 years, & have always been interested in using cameras such as the Nikon 1V1, Sony Nex 5N, & Sony Nex 7 in full autofocus mode. The problem has always been the choice of what distance to leave between the end of the eyepiece & the camera lens. I discovered...

    Adapter for Swarovski 25-50 Zoom

Adapter for 25-50 Zoom & Nikon 1V1 18.5 Lens Another option is to make use of the 25-50 Zoom eye cup. You unscrew the eye cup & knock out the two retaining pins. You now use the outer part of the eye cup. Remove the rubber completely & add (super glue) a 52mm extension ring. You may need to...

    Adapter for Swarovski 25-50 Zoom

A very simple & cheap adapter for use with the Nikon 1V1, 18.5 f1.8 lens which gives you a range of 1200 to 2500. You need to remove the eyepiece eyecup, & have a method for supporting your camera. Purchase a 40.5 - 46mm step up ring costing about £5, together with a 46mm extension ring or...

    Sigma 30mm f2.8 for M4/3

Sigma 19 & 30 mm lens for M 4/3 Hi Robert Sorry about the confusion between the two posts. I was also trying to reduce vignetting & therrefore re-tested the lens & eyepiece combination, & was surpised to get good results with the closer distance. The Sigma 19mm f2.8 is a great lens but best...

    Sigma 30mm f2.8 for M4/3

Sigma 30mm f2.8 lens with Swarovski 80 I have carried out some further tests & found that you can get good results with the 20X eyepiece if you can get the camera lens to eyepiece distance down to 0.5mm. The 30X eyepiece works well with a distance of 7.00mm. More tests to do with the 45X EP &...

    Sigma 30mm f2.8 for M4/3

Hi A few more examples at different shooting distances. What allowance did you make for distance between the zoom eyepiece to the lens please? I am currently trying to calculate the correct focal distances for different eyepiece / lens combinations, so your ideas would be helpful

    Sigma 30mm f2.8 for M4/3

Sigma 30mm f2.8 for M4/3 with Panasonic G1 & GH2 I have used this lens with a Swarovski 80 scope & 20X eyepiece. It is a strange lens because of the size of the optics. You normally have to get the lens as close to the eyepiece as possible, but in this case it needs over 10mm in distance to...
