    Nikon Monarch HG 8x42

No issues with mine. I love the 8x42 MHG. Handles like a dream.

    Theron Questa 8x42 and 10x42

    The company no longer exists.

    I always regret selling my.......?

Oh man. Theron Questa 8x42. Still my favorite 8x42 I've had. Still looking for something to replace it. An 8x42 Monarch HG hits my doorstep tomorrow. Maybe it'll be the one.

Opinions on the 8x42 Frontier ED-X

That settles that then. I'll be giving them a try.

Opinions on the 8x42 Frontier ED-X

I'm looking at several $500-ish 8x42 binos right now. I was ready to pull the trigger on the Frontier ED-X before reading some reports that it didn't handle glare particularly well. For anyone who's had the 8x42 ED-X, how would you rate its resistance to glare/flare?

GPO Passion ED vs Vanguard Endeavor EDIV

Hoping for feedback from people who have experience with both. I'm looking to get a mid-range 8x42 to serve as a backup to my 10x50 (Maven B6). I wear glasses when using binoculars so eye relief restrictions have sort of narrowed it down to these two in my price range. I've had the Endeavor EDII...

    Collimation

Update. Had my girlfriend check and she couldn't create the effect. I also checked again and it wasn't as noticeable for me the second time around. I'm sure this isn't the most precise way to check for issues, so I'm going to have multiple people look at the B6 that's being returned to me...

    Collimation

I saw this article but couldn't create the effect in the illustration.

    Collimation

This sort of thing was one of my main concerns. I have very different prescriptions in each eye. And I need correction for prism. I'll hold off on sending the 8x42 off until I can have someone else see if they can duplicate the effect.

    Collimation

Last week I sold a Maven B6 12x50 to a gentleman on another forum. I had spent maybe 6 hours total behind the binoculars with them tripod mounted before I sold them. I never noticed any eye strain. He contacted me after being able to use them and informed me that he thought the alignment of the...

    Theron Questa 8x42 and 10x42

It wouldn't surprise me if the 10x isn't the bino the 8x is. I've heard people prefer the 8x Toric as well. To echo your sentiment, since I've owned the Questa I've had a 12x50 Meostar HD, a 10x42 Monarch HG, an 11x45 Maven B2, and a 10x42 Toric. All of them were great. And I sold all of them...

Nikon MHG rubber over focuser loosening in spots

I didn't have it long enough for it to give me any trouble. Maybe three months. I was going through a long phase of trying new stuff so I sold it to fund a Maven B2. Concerns about durability were part of that decision though, and I'd heard mixed reviews about Nikon's service.

    8x32 Conquests plus 10x42??

After trying a bunch of formats I think having a 10x42 and 8x32 covers pretty much all the bases. If I was going to own one bino I'd have to go with an 8x42, particularly if i was allowed a spotter.

Bushnell Legend M sticky focus wheel

Ah. Hope you find a way to loosen it up. Aside from the focuser do they live up to the hype?

Nikon MHG rubber over focuser loosening in spots

Any updates on the service? I love the MHG for a lot of things. Great value, huge FOV, the list goes on. The long-term durability would be a concern for me. I had a refurb for a while and sold it for that reason. Hopefully Nikon took good care of you.
