    thats technology for you delia,years ago you would get plenty warning your battery was on its way out dim lights/horn not sounding loud enough now the battery just dies on you leaving you stranded

    a couple of bits and pieces my last sighting of the shoveler on the lochan was 26/09/22 a pair of linnets flew over the lochan the same day,on my visit on the 3/10/22 i think half the magpies in dundee were in the park,9 were counted flying together with smaller groups spread about,a kingfisher...

    i visited morton lochs last monday and noticed they have cut away all the plants/flowers on the path leading to the railway hide it is now completely bare,they could have left it for another week or two,the only butterfly seen was a speckled wood which was a lifer for me there was also a bat...

    i seen the snipe on the lochan on monday this is only my second sighting of snipe in the park,it was feeding at the same spot the waders like to roost,wonder if it will mingle with all the other waders ?

    there was a shovelar on the lochan this afternoon,it spent a good 20 mins sleeping until a low flying sparrowhawk panicked it ,i noticed the sewer pipe seems to have come apart the sewage certainly wont be going out as far as its meant to

    the algae at clatto resevoir is really bad it used to just affect a couple of areas now the whole resevoir is disscoloured no dog walkers were present and the watersports have been stopped,the great crested grebes are still there with youngsters
