Thank you, both. Not common buzzards, much better! I left my bird books in Paris in the rush to get back at the start of the lockdown, and this was not a species I thought to check on the internet.

Two raptors came over Falicon, behind Nice this afternoon. They were really low, but by the time I ran back to the house, grabbed the camera and got back outside, the had thermalled up much higher. Please excuse the poor photos.
