    France, Paris - Bonelli's Warbler?

MSA, thanks for you answer. It's definitely not a Crested Tit. I know that species very well, they use a very typical call and certainly not the repeating sound on the tape. Nutcracker, Grey Wagtail could be possible, but how do you explain the repeating phrases this bird shows between the...

    France, Paris - Bonelli's Warbler?

A friend of mine recorded a song in Paris, France we can't seem to identify. You should find it accompanied by its location clicking the arrow behind the following link: http://observado.org/waarneming/view/102007516 We think about a Bonelli's Warbler, but the subsong doesn't sound familiar to...

    Namibia Hardap - Mousebird

Yes, while looking behind your links and on the internet I am starting to get it. Apart from Mousebirds having a more fragile body (and the tail of course) the body of my bird also looks too large compared to the head for a Mousebird. Looks like you convinced me Niels. Thanks, appreciate your help!

    Namibia Hardap - Mousebird

Thanks Niels and Steve. Interesting! :) Indeed the tail is very different between the species. Do you or does anyone know of other ways to distuinguish Go-aways from Mousebirds in common? I mean, otherwise from the tail determination would have become hard using my pictures, wouldn't it?

    Namibia Hardap - Mousebird

Can anyone help me with this Mousebird please! I made the bad images in Namibia Hardap in 2006. Its white looking beak and dark legs together with the location make me think it has to be a White-backed Mousebird. But I have no experience with these birds or the region. Thanks in advance, Kees...

    Oxpecker? Tanzania Serengeti NP

Can anyone tell me whether these birds on an elephant's back are Red-billed Oxpeckers or Yellow-billed Oxpeckers, or totally different birds? I senselessly tried to figure it out by watching lots of images. Thanks, Kees Kuijper
