    Martin Mere (WWT) is also possible via public transport, the 'easiest' way being train Liverpool to Burscough (change Ormskirk) and walk via the canal to New Lane then along Marsh Moss Lane.

    I'm very familiar with the area around the the affected duck farm at Driffield (Nafferton). There are approximately zero long-distance migratory wildfowl within a mile or two of that farm, though no doubt some fly over (would the virus carry in poop?).

    And it was the only duck on the lake. It's been soooo grim there the last couple of years I wonder why I bother at all (new owners = dog walking, swimming, boats, hates birders) so it's nice to get something decent :eek!:
