im considering a trip up next July primarily to see Roseate Terns from the boat trip to Coquet Island.
Was wondering if anyone has any experience of these trips and how did they get on with the
Roseates? Would it be possible to get one or two record shots?
Any advice would be appreciated...
I'm on a week long family holiday just south of Conwy next month.
Was wondering if anyone has a good site for Dipper at all? Any other North Welsh specialities to look out for? Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks everyone all this is quite reassuring for me and the missus who was quite stressed at the prospect of me hiring a car abroad!

Am coming on holiday with my family and staying in Alcudia. Ive decided not to stress the wife out by hiring a car so will bird on foot, by bus annd by taxi.
Does anyone have ant experience of biding by public transport in Mallorca?

My father-in-law has recently reignited his passion for birding. Back in the day he had (and still has) a nikon scope. It's in good nick and optically ok, so I don't think there's a big need for him to shell out 2k+ for a new one.
The one snag is that the only eyepiece he has is 20x...
A nice couple of hours at Wykeham Forest today (11.15 to 1.15).
Honey Buzzard showing as soon as we got there, a nice comparison had with a Common Buzzard which was in the air at the same time. A pair of Crossbills were perched up, then 3 more flew over. A Goshawk then followed.
