I really do appreciate all the responses I've had, we were actually on an Osprey hunt when this was taken, however we never did see the Osprey:((.
Thank you all

Thank you all for your posts, have to get my man with the camera to read the handbook and get sharper photos!!!! I have looked at the others he took and attach them, however they are all rubbish. Taken 23rd October 2011
Much appreciated though

This is a very hurried and poor quality snapshot; the starlings are out in force to evict a bird of prey. First thoughts were a kite, but the tail is not forked and would the starlings mob a kite? Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Mr & Mrs No Ring and family
I am praying that this is one of the family returning; we have been there for the last three years in Spring, but unfortunately can't be there this year. There was passing interest in the unused nest last season - so hopeful for another pair at Bassenthwaite.

Lady of the Loch
Hope they manage to get it streaming soon as I want to see her arrive with a fish and take residence just as she did last year and then watch the reunion as 7Y arrives :-)))
I am planning a return visit to Ronda after seeing so many of these beautiful and agile birds last autumn. Can anyone advise when is the best time to go and when their breeding season starts/ends in this location.
Many thanks

Agree, sunflower hearts are a magnet for all my garden birds, especially the Goldfinches, we have at least 10 pairs. The Siskins will take the niger seed if the hearts run out.
Hi
Had thought this was a booted eagle, but the photo was taken over Salobrena on 30th October. In view of the fact booted eagles migrate, is it just a late one or something else? So pleased I joined this forum - thanks.
