Leica Noctivid 10x42, Swaro NL Pure 12x42, or Zeiss Victory SF 10x42

I was not aware there was a new EL... What is new and when? How do you differentiate between the new and old ELs?

Leica Noctivid 10x42, Swaro NL Pure 12x42, or Zeiss Victory SF 10x42

I have a Kowa spotting scope. The scope works great for a closer look at something, but not the most comfortable for scanning for wildlife. I still can't find a pair of NL 12s in town. I may have to wait until a trip out of town gets me to a bigger store.

$1K binoculars experiences - Conquest HD, Monarch HG, Tract Toric, GPO Passion HD, Trinovid HD

I picked up a used pair of Fujinon FMTR 7x50s. I find them amazing. The more I have used them the more I like them. The individual focus is not a big deal at all. My son uses them and when I grab them, I know where the eye pieces should be adjusted to for distance. I adjust them before bringing...

$1K binoculars experiences - Conquest HD, Monarch HG, Tract Toric, GPO Passion HD, Trinovid HD

I spent a lot of time looking at alphas and wowing over the views. I then looked at the Conquest HD and smiled big. They are beautiful, comfortable binos and the view it great. Great color, contrast and clarity. For a fraction of the price of the alphas, I happily went with the Conquest HD.

Leica Noctivid 10x42, Swaro NL Pure 12x42, or Zeiss Victory SF 10x42

Interesting the 10s aren't getting nearly as good reviews as the 8s. I'd be happy to look through them, but Sportsmans locally doesn't have any of them in stock. Options are limited in small town USA.

    8x30/32 porro suggestions?

I picked up a Fujinon FMTR-SX 7x50 and love them. The IF takes some getting used to, but they are a pleasure to look though

Leica Noctivid 10x42, Swaro NL Pure 12x42, or Zeiss Victory SF 10x42

Last night I went back to the store and spent some time looking at available options again. Comparing the NL 10x42 and the Noctivid 10x42, the wider FOV made a huge difference. It is like taking blinders off when you look through the NL. I have all but eliminated the Noctivid from...

Leica Noctivid 10x42, Swaro NL Pure 12x42, or Zeiss Victory SF 10x42

All the different opinions and experiences, even the biased ones, make this forum great. Ultimately I need to spend more time behind each of those pairs and let my eyes decide. The level of importance I put on that FOV is really what I have been struggling with. That initial impression I got...

Leica Noctivid 10x42, Swaro NL Pure 12x42, or Zeiss Victory SF 10x42

Please, please explain. It has a 339 ft FOV at 1000 yards... Same as most 10x42s I have used for a long time. I would love to hear your opinion why I might regret it.

Leica Noctivid 10x42, Swaro NL Pure 12x42, or Zeiss Victory SF 10x42

Thank you Paul. I appreciate the welcome and information. Not trying to ruffle any feathers here, I hope I do not. I am a conservationist and believe proper management keeps wildlife levels high for everyone to enjoy. Any experience with the NL 12x42? I normally would not go into the field...

Leica Noctivid 10x42, Swaro NL Pure 12x42, or Zeiss Victory SF 10x42

I am in the hunt for the best. Buy once, cry once bino purchase. I have narrowed the search field down to Leica Noctivid 10x42, Swarovski NL Pure 10x42 or 12x42, or the Zeiss Victory SF 10x42. I went to Sportsman's Warehouse and found the Leica Noctivid 10x42 and the NL Pure 10x42. The staff...
