    I think it is fine to post these sorts of images - it is a great way to learn where the boundary of the identifiable and unidentifiable is For me it is not definitely an accipiter - a buteo could give this sort of silhouette. Agree that this bird is not identifiable!

    London Warbler.....

    There was I thinking that KenM was "hijacking" the Bird Identification thread with some "pixellated videograb" of one species looking like another to "sucker" the unwary and then later amaze everyone with an ID clincher frame that had been "overlooked". I was "wrong". "Apologies" to KenM.

    Birding in Angkor Wat

    I did visit Angkor Wat with SVC as part of a longer trip. Chose a guide that would do birds and the history - well worth it in my opinion.

    The males are smaller than the females so that, along with the weather conditions, may have contributed. Of course, its not possible to say whether this bird is a male from the photos...

    Lothian Birding

    One last weekend moving between patches of woodland between Craigmillar and Little France. A similar area again - could easily be a single roving bird I've seen 3 times - or a sign that they are now establishing themselves in this part of Edinburgh
