    Used Canon EF 300mm f4 L IS USM Lens

    Hi Jono L I can't see what you would gain by making this trade. The 300mm is of similar size, weight and quality as the 100-400. The big plus for the 100-400 is the focal range gives it more flexibility. You could add a 1.4 extender to the 300mm and get 420mm f5.6 but this isn't much different...

    First Try With 7D And 400mm f5.6

    Not bad at all Barry. My biggest criticism would be the bird is to centrally framed, it's better to have the bird flying into more space with less space behind, I have cropped from behind and below, but a nice photo all the same.
