    Zeiss SF 10x42 dissection

Hi dorubird, Great report I just see...! Like very much the SF glare resistance you describe! I sold my HT 10x42 because its almos unusable glare with the sun even not near the front. Terrible!! My previous Fl 10x42 was better on this. I end with, another...,Habicht W GA 10x40 because its great...

How are waterproof porro Binoculars possible?

Hi, Swarovski Habicht are waterproof to 4m since at least 20 years ago....I once call Swarovski asking about how would this possible. The person who answer said the ocular tubes were strongly sealed (that is the reason for the more force needed to moves the focusing weel) and when moving out/in...

    Ultravid 7x42 HD+ vs Noctivid 8x42

Hi Nigel, I tried a Ultravid HD 10x42 vs a Trinovid (2012-2015) and...I like more, definitively the Trinovids! Were only two pairs but that Trinovids had a better view!!!! I don´t see a need for an upgrade having this Trinovid. Perhaps a jump to a Noctivid....

    Habicht for birdwatching?

About the more pronounced stereoscopic view of the normal Porro over normal roof Pechan prism binoculars, it is due, as all of you surely know, to the wide objectives separations. The binocular with Abbe-König prism are in between about this. At very close distance with Porro ones, it is...

    A Meopta Meostar 8x32 B1.1 with a Serial number starting with 160xxx ?

Hello, My Meostar 8x32 B1 is one of the first of the series. I bought it, used but in perfect condition, in 2013. It is my all around binocular, always in my pack and for travel around the world, I will never sell it. Perfect collimation, sharp optics and perfect mechanics. The number is...

    Habicht for birdwatching?

Hi, I use my 10x40 WGA regularly for general nature observations. Including birds. To me, the biggest issue of the Habichts Porro, and of all Porro binoculars as well, is the stereoscopic view. This property of all regular Porro is not ideal for extremely close observations. But this is, to me...

    Ultravid 7x42 HD+ vs Noctivid 8x42

Hi Nigel, I fully agree with Rg548 post 3!!!! I have, well my son, a Trinovid 2012-2015 10x42. Nothing less than great binocular. To me, Rg recommendations are just the right thing to do. Good luck! PHA

Trinovid pre HD vs Trinovid HD 10x42

Good luck Hobby, One more thing about the weight: in a 10x binocular I like some more weight than with lower magnifications! Best! PHA

Trinovid pre HD vs Trinovid HD 10x42

Hello Hobby, I bought that Trinovid 2012 model in 10x42. Was a gift for my eldest son. I, and of course he, were very happy and satisfied with the binocular!!! Classic Leica view, saturated colours, high contrast and superb sharpness. I never tested side by side with the newer Trinovid HD 2016...

    Swarovski habicht 10x40 W (2002 Model)

Hi Acorndrive, I said, again, at least in my two samples, there were no differences in the optics. Neither in the view nor looking to the objectives and/or the oculars. Or in the general aspect and markings of the binoculars. I don´t know if there was any coating updates between 2002 and 2019...

    Swarovski habicht 10x40 W (2002 Model)

Hi Acorndrive, By the way, I have had both Habicht 10x40 WGA, 2002 and 2019, both at the same time for a month. They are THE SAME. Having had four Habicht much older, from the seventies to the nineties, that 2002 and my actual 2019 have natural and neutral colours without that yellow cast of...

    Glare Monsters!

Hi dennis, My Habicht 10x40, is great controlling VG. One of the best binocular on this I have had. I can look with the sun very near the front of the view, frequent at down and/or dusk, without that annoying milki VG. About the Noctivid, I tried one for an hour in the afternoon trying hard to...
