    Location gizmo!

Anyone who is interested in a simple and inexpensive data logging device should try one of these from http://www.i-gotu.com/ I have had mine a few days and it has faithfully mapped my walks around the Lake District and also logged where I took my photographs. Simple to use and the supplied...

    Location gizmo!

Peter, Thanks for the offer but with the wealth of newer technology available I think I shall wait and see what comes to market in the rest of 2012/early 13 Reg

    Location gizmo!

Use a Canon currently and there doesn't appear to be an equivalent to the Opteka GPN-1 sadly, however thanks for the tip about Geosetter. Looks like I will have to wait for Santa Claus and a handheld GPS, overkill for my needs but I will cope!!

    Location gizmo!

I cant see the need for a full scale and expensive hand held device, really just looking for a small GPS waypoint data logger. there appears to be a good number around £50 - £60, anyone used one and can recommend?

    Location gizmo!

My camera does not have GPS and I do not have a smart phone and if I did it would be switched off. Without hours poring over a OS map at the time how can I log the exactish location of where I take a photo? Does anyone use a product that will just log my location at a push of a button and then...

    Bluetits abandoned nest

My 5 Gt Tit chicks died last Sunday too, it is true that you have to let nature take its course. It was very distressing watching the last one struggle for life, in the end had to turn cam off as there was nothing I could do. Not looking forward to emptying the box in August.

    Which camera to buy

Decision made! After my problems with the HS30EXR within 24 hours of purchase, I have been and had a look again at the FZ150 and the SX40 from Canon. Finally bought the Canon as it just felt right in my hand and the menu system seems relatively intuitive maybe because I already have a Canon...

    Which camera to buy

    |:(| Like you I have taken delivery of another superzoom today having decided that if I bought another HS30exr I would be forever wondering when it would go wrong. I am going to say nothing about this one till I am happy with how it works and then will comment. The only thing I will say it...

    Which camera to buy

Well I have had my HS30EXR less than 24 hours and tomorrow it is going back because after less than 25 shots it has developed a "Lens Control Error" as it tries to focus. Having read a Fuji forum in which this error comes up a number of times on many different models over a considerable period...

    Which camera to buy

It should arrive in the next couple of days, so will post first impressions not long after that along with some images and then maybe a fuller report after a week or two. :)

    Which camera to buy

Just a quick update, have been and tried albeit in a limited fashion the FZ150, HS30EXR and DMC G3 and after a lot of thought plumped for the HS30EXR. Reasons for choice, it feels good in the hand, love the manual zoom and it does everything I want. Will let you know how it goes after I have...

    Which camera to buy

I am going to check out the FZ150 and the HS30EXR. You are quite right I have no intention of buying into a system and buying lots of lens so for me at least superzoom is the way to go, possibly with a teleconverter in due course. One question what is BIF? Thanks for all the comments it has...
