    The case I believe is cordura with an leather overlay on the flap.... I’m not sure if it’s genuine or faux leather to be honest. The Kite Lynx HD caught my eye but I’m not quite sure if it’s worth extra couple of hundred pounds/dollars over the Traveller or Monarch.

    I must’ve been lucky with both pairs. I didn’t notice glare in either the Monarchs or these to be honest. Eye placement required a little more thought with the Monarchs. The focusing is definitely much more refined on the Travellers, far more crisp resulting in getting a sharper image quicker...

    Thanks Bob. I was surprised how little there is between them optically, with the omission of ED glass in the Diamondbacks not really an issue as I couldn’t differentiate between the two. I’m sure the more knowledgeable amongst you would be able to mind you.🙂

    Thank you. I left a comment on his review. Agree entirely with his views on the Monarch 5 vs Diamondbacks, both very close optically but the wider FOV is going to be the clincher for me.

    I’ve tried the Endurance ED in 8x32 last year and from my recollection they did appear brighter than the HD X. I would’ve ordered the HD X in 8x42 but was put off after viewing the x32.

    Hi Sadly I sent the 8x32 back, I just didn’t get in with them. I struggled with good eye placement and the image seemed rather flat and dull. I would’ve liked to try the ED X 8x42 instead but they’re above my price range sadly.

    I just finished watching this thanks. The Viking’s appear to punch above their weight. I’m surprised the Hawke Endurance finished at the lower end of the scale.
