    Hiya Mike, thanks for the reply. I've just looked up this collared dove and yes looks alot like the one we have here but also looks like the ring necks too. This bird we have here walked up to me and onto my hand! Would both types do this so freely?

    Are ring neck doves wild in the uk? I know it may seem like a stupid question but have had one come into our garden and follow my son around. He/she has made no attemp to fly away she makes me wonder if they are usually kept as pets. Glad for some info thanks
