    Is this bird a western kingbird? The photo was taken in October 2013 at Paradise Pond in Port Aransas, TX. My guide book doesn't show the breast blotch on any of the kingbirds.

    These photos were taken in April 2012 in Port Aransas at Paradise Pond, a woody but marshy area with a couple of water drips. ID? Sorry for the quality of the photos.

    Thanks! Here's a different bird, and this one I thought was a Couch's. (The bird on a limb.) The bird with the wings up is the same bird as in the opening post, if it provides any further clues.

    This photo was taken in late November at a major Mayan ruin. Also spotted there were great kiskadees. Is this photo of a tropical kingbird?
