If one sits quietly and listens, nature has many pleasant sounds to be discovered. To me THAT is the joy that birding brings into my life. It is not about how many birds I can 'tick' in my lifetime.

I have spent many hours in the field waiting and watching for that elusive bald eagle to appear soaring in the sky above.
