    Killer Wasp

Thanks guys I just wondered how come I had never seen anything like this before? It is very hard to miss.

    Killer Wasp

Okay the header was just to grab your attention but the wasp in the image below was the only other visible occupant of the tower hide at Strumpshaw last week and it looked like it meant business. I have tried to look it up on-line but with no success so I thought I would turn to the guys on here...

    Norfolk Warbler

These two pictures were taken at Strumpshaw Fen on 06/08. I know its a warbler of some description but I just can't pin it down as the wings seem to be stubby and there is not much of an eye stripe. Any help is much appreciated and some I.D. indicators would be useful if you have time as I am...

    Norfolk coastal bird

I know its a long shot as this is a very poor record image but I was wondering if anyone could positively ID this bird for me. I have looked in the books and I think it is a common gull but the shape just seems a bit off, a bit like my ID skills, any help is much appreciated. Happy New Year to...

    Norfolk birding

Last report I saw was Wednesday. Small flock in bowthorpe fly past so no more details. The ones in golden triangle seem to have moved on although still berries on rupert street/York street so maybe worth a look.

    Best i-Pad

The I-Pad can do most things a laptop can do if you have the right Apps. My wife and daughter both have I-Pads and laptops and the laptops are rarely switched on. If you actually take the time and research it you will find it is much quicker and easier, assuming you have a windows laptop, to use...

    Norfolk birding

If you are on twitter follow @waxwingsuk they have records from all over the country. There have been several sightings of birds feeding at the junction of York street and Rupert street just off Unthank road. If you walk along Rupert street there are a lot of berries so I think they will hang...

    Norfolk birding

I thought I saw two there today as well but convinced myself I was seeing things. Got some great shots of the bearded tits from fen hide though and two nice field fares as well.

    Laser Printers for Photos?

The shop owner should be shot. Even if you pay a fortune for a laser printer it still won't produce the quality of a good Epson or Canon photo printer. Laser printers are designed for speed and bulk they make sense in a business environment but not at home unless you just want a document printer.

    Best i-Pad

I-Pad Get the i-pad. I can't give you a rational reason but it just works far better than anything else I have tried. When you pick it up it is like an old friend you just slip straight into comfort mode. Yes there are some gripes especially flash player but if anyone has seen some of the...

Thanks very much I did look at Cetti's and I had heard the familiar call earlier but I couldn't believe I'd got such a close-up shot of one.
