Distribution

South America: found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 3 subspecies[1]:

  • C. c. curtata:
  • C. c. cisandina:
  • Subtropical Magdalena Valley of central Colombia to northern Peru
  • C. c. debilis:

A fourth subspecies, furcata, is not accepted by all authorities[2]

Habitat

Moist montanes evergreen forests. Heights reported up to 1700 m.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet almost entirely of arthropods gleaned in the mid and upper storey.
