Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies^[1]:

• A. b. nattereri:

• Extreme south-eastern Colombia to north-eastern Peru and western Amazonian Brazil

• A. b. bolivianus:

• Tropical south-western Brazil (Amazonas and Mato Grosso) and northern Bolivia

Habitat

Swamps.
