Identification

13 cm

• Olive-green upperparts
• Yellowish underparts
• Greeny-yellow supercilium bordered by narrow black stripe above
• Rufous crown
• Dusky olive ear-coverts

Distribution

Central and South America: found in eastern Panama and extreme north-western Colombia.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species^[1].

Habitat

Montane forests, generally over 1400m but seen as low as 1200 m.

Behaviour

Diet

Their main diet consists of insects and arthropods, gleaned at around 2-10 m above the ground.

Vocalisation

Call: a penetrating tseeut.
