Identification
Length 32cm
Greyish to olive-brown above barred with black and prominently streaked with white. Crown blackish, sides of head and throat white, lower throat barred black, breast grey spotted with white, belly whitish. Legs dark grey.
Distribution
South America: found in southern Bolivia, western Paraguay and western Argentina.

Dry chaco forest up to 2,000m.

The diet inclides insects and fruit.

The male incubates the eggs and cares for the young.
