  • Black head
  • Blue crown

Distribution

Endemic to Peru (eastern La Libertad to San Martín and Huánuco).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Gill and Donsker place this species in the genus Buthraupis.

Habitat

Cloud forest.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of fruit and insects.
