Genus: Ashbyia
Description
This genus contains only one species, the Gibberbird from central Australia.
A robust, chat-like bird with a heavy bill and a short primary projection.
Taxonomy
Ashbyia is a genus in the Family Meliphagidae.
It was formerly included in the family Epthianuridae or in the family Acanthizidae. Further study to confirm the actual placement is required.
