Macrosphenidae is a family in the order Passeriformes.
Most of the species in this family were formerly placed in the Old World Warblers (Sylviidae). New genetic research showed that these species don't belong to the Old World Warblers but form a new family, in combination with the Rockrunner.
Graueria, Hylia and Pholidornis were formerly also included in the Sylviidae but are now provisionally moved in a position of "limbo" (incertae sedis) at the end of Macrosphenidae.
