Genus: Notiomystis
Description
This genus contains only one species, the Stitchbird from New Zealand.
Taxonomy
Notiomystis is a genus in the family Notiomystidae.
It has been placed in Meliphagidae in the past. Driskell et al. (2007) suggested that it should be placed in its own family, more closely related to the Callaeidae (New Zealand wattlebirds).
