Thrushes and allies.
Turdidae is a family in the Order Passeriformes.
The newest Clements update brought some changes to this family. Some families were moved from here to the Muscicapidae (Alethe, Pseudalethe, Brachypteryx, Myophonus and Monticola) and the genus Cochoa was moved from the Orld World Flycatchers to here.
The genera Neocossyphus and Pseudocossyphus are also sometimes also placed within the Old World Flycatchers Muscicapidae. Furthermore the taxonomic placement of Geomalia is not clear. This species may well not be a Thrush at all and is sometimes placed within the Babblers Timaliidae.
