Upucerthia certhioides

Distribution

South America: found in Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina.

Taxonomy

Clements¹ and IOC² place this species in the genus Tarphonomus.

Subspecies^[1]

Three subspecies are recognized:

• T. c. estebani:

• Chaco of south-eastern Bolivia, western Paraguay and adjacent northern Argentina

• T. c. luscinia:

• Chaco of western Argentina (La Rioja and Mendoza)

• T. c. certhioides:

• Chaco of northern and central Argentina

Habitat

Dry shrubland.
