Distribution
South America: found in Colombia the Guianas and southern Venezuela to northern Bolivia and Amazonian Brazil.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
River banks, grassy areas, clearings, shrubland, marshes and gardens.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet consists of grass seeds and fruit (particularly 'snake fingers').
