Sexes alike. Juvenile is similar to adult with brownish wash and buff tinge to throat.
Distribution
South America: found in the Andes of south-eastern Peru (Apurímac, Cuzco and Puno).

This is a monotypic species[1].

Unknown. Probably seeds and arthropods.

Vocalisation
Song is a variable rich chirping warble with a squeaky component. Calls are thin and weak.
