Genus: Cicinnurus
Description
One species of Bird-of-Paradise.
The males are very colourful birds and their central pair of tail feathers are modified into recurved wires.
Females lack this elongated central pair of tail feathers, they are mostly brown and have barred underparts.
Taxonomy
Cicinnurus is a genus in the family Paradisaeidae.
Some authorities place Magnificent Bird-of-Paradise and Wilson's Bird-of-Paradise in the genus Diphyllodes.
