Description

From the description of the genus: (the scientific name) refers to the bright yellow or bright orange-rufous coloration of the lesser secondary coverts of males; a character that, within Thamnophilidae, is unique to the members of the genus.

Taxonomy

Euchrepomis is a genus in the family Thamnophilidae.
The four species were formerly included in the genus Terenura (and are still placed in there by Gill and Donsker).
