Male
- Straight black bill has reddish mandible
- Chestnut forehead and lores
- Metallic green upperparts
Distribution
Central and South America: found in the highlands of eastern Panama (Darién) and extreme north-western Colombia.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1], which is the only member of its genus
Habitat
Moist montane forests and forest edges at heights around 600 and 1500 m.
Behaviour
Diet
They feed on flowering shrubs and small trees.
