Asia: found in central and southern China to south-eastern Tibet and Nepal. Southeast Asia: Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia.


This is a monotypic species[1].

Subspecies arcanus isn't generally recognised[2].


Alpine scrub.
