Taxonomy
Large Blue Flycatcher, Javan Blue Flycatcher, and Javan Blue Flycatcher were formerly considered subspecies of this species.

- Eastern plateau of Thailand
- C. b. deignani:
- South-eastern Thailand
- C. b. coerulifrons:
- Malay Peninsula (south of Isthmus of Kra)
Habitat
Primary and secondary broadleaved forests, maybe in gorges; also bamboo thickets.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of small insects, such as flies, beetles and cockroaches.
Breeding
They construct an untidy cup nest from moss and plant fibres.
