Identification

• Brown grey and white face
• Small spots on back
• Black tail
• Pink legs

Distribution

Colombia, Venezuela and the Guianas³ to Brazil and Bolivia.

Taxonomy

Clements¹ considers this a monotypic species, while others (Restall³, H&M²?) recognize both punctulatus and subochraceus.

The scientific name has previously (erroneously) been spelt Hylophylax punctulata.
