Identification
16cm. Dark bill, pink lower mandible, brown back with dark streaks, brown head, white eyebrow, buff underparts, buff patch to the side of the neck, white outer tail feathers.
Distribution
Democratic Republic of the Congo and southern Uganda
Taxonomy
Monotypic.
Some authorities no longer accept this species and include it as a subspecies in African Pipit.
Habitat
Montane grassland
