Location: Polylepsis woodland in Royal Cinclodes Reserve, west side of Abra Malaga at about 4200m, Peru

Identification

16 cm. Bright rufous front and crown, dark face striped white and buff, long white eyebrow, white throat checkered black, contrasting smokey-grey underparts, grey-brown back striped white, dark wings with two white panels, pointed and graduated black tail with white tips to outer rectrices.
