Identification

20 cm (7¾ in)

  • Grey underparts
  • Yellow lower mandible
  • Long pointed tail

Distribution

South America: found in the marshes of South East Brazil, Uruguay, eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Found in wet to damp grassland
