Genus: Lycocorax
Description
This genus contains only one species, the Paradise-crow from the Northern Moluccas, Indonesia.
It has a crow-like appearance.
Unlike other Birds-of-paradise this species is neither sexually dimorphic nor polygynous. Instead male and female are very similar and form monogamous pairs.
Taxonomy
Lycocorax is a monotypic genus in the family Paradisaeidae.
The subspecies obiensis is rather distinctive and might be elevated to full species level with further studies.
