  • Black and white overall plumage
  • Long graduated tail

Distribution

Rainforests of equatorial Africa
Western Africa: Guinea, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

They are mostly found on savanna, in forest edges and clearings; also cultivated areas and secondary growth.

Behaviour

Diet

Their main diet consists of insects, particularly beetles, bugs, winged termites and ants.
