Very long tail.
Distribution
Taxonomy
Formerly in genus Urolestes. Placed in genus Corvinella by some authorities.
Subspecies
Clements recognises the following subspecies [1]:
- L. m. corvinus: E Africa (N of the Zambezi River) N to Kenya
- L. m. expressus: "SE Zimbabwe to NE South Africa (Mpumalanga and NE KwaZulu-Natal), E Swaziland, and S Mozambique
- L. m. melanoleucus: Africa S of the Zambezi River to E Angola and NC South Africa
Habitat
Acacia and savanna areas.
