Sub-Saharan Africa: Senegambia to western Ethiopia

Taxonomy

Merops bulocki has two subspecies:^[1]

• M. b. bulocki

• Senegambia to Chad (Chari River) and Central African Republic

• M. b. frenatus

• Sub-Saharan Sudan and adjacent DRC to north-western Uganda and western Ethiopia
