Identification
12–13 cm (4¾-5 in)
- Brown forehead, crown and upperparts
- Faint streaks on crown
- Creamy lores and eyering
- Brown ear-coverts and remiges
Distribution
Africa: found from semi-arid southern Mali to Ghana, Kenya, Somalia and south-western Arabia.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
They occupy woodland that is usually dry.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists almost entirely of insects.
