Distribution

Mountain ravines of Sri Lanka.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Montane riverside forests.

Behaviour

Diet

The diet includes insects, frogs, earthworms and berries.

Breeding

It nests in bushes or similar, laying 1 or 2 eggs in a neat cup-shaped nest on a ledge near water.
