Distribution

South America: found in Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.

Taxonomy

Subspecies^[1]

There are 2 subspecies:

• O. c. canicollis:

• Chaco of eastern Bolivia to western Paraguay and northern Argentina

• O. c. pantanalensis:

• Western Brazil (south-western Mato Grosso)

An additional subspecies ungeri is generally considered invalid^[2].

Habitat

Semi arid thorn forest.

Behaviour

The diet includes leaves, flowers, fruit, seeds, and caterpillars.
