Namibia, southern Angola, Kenya and Tanzania.

Taxonomy

Two subspecies recognized:

granti is sometimes accepted as full species, Grant's Wood Hoopoe.

Habitat

Behaviour

The females alone incubate the eggs but are brought food by the males.
