Genus: Phonygammus
Description
A single species of Manucode from New Guinea, the Moluccas and Australia.
Unlike most other Birds-of-paradise socially monogamous and sexually monomorphic (females and males look similar).
The plumage is basically all black with degrees of bue and/or green iridescence.
Taxonomy
Phonygammus is a genus in the family Paradisaeidae.
This species was formerly included in Manucodia.
